Bus/trein to Almaar and Amsterdam

  • A two minute walk to the bus stop (see red line pictured). When leaving the door, walk away from the canal in easterly direction. Take a left on the crossing towards the main street (Kanaalweg). Via the pedestrian go to the other side of the road and you find the bus stop. (line 157 of Connexion). The Bus drives at: 07:03/07:31/08:01/08:31/09:02/09:32/10:02/10:32

Take the bus in the direction Alkmaar (not Schagen). And it will drive to the rail way station in approximately 15 minutes.

  • Upon arrival Alkmaar railway station look for the left side of the building. There you will find a tunnel to the different platforms. The train will depart from platform 3. Take the intercity which goes twice per hour. Departure times are 08:27 and 08:57 and so on all day. The train drives in 35 minutes to Amsterdam Central station.

BACK HOME:

  • At least 4 times per hour the intercity departs in the direction Alkmaar. Most of the time from platform 8a. But recommended departure time is 9 minutes after the hour. So 16:09/18:09….23:09 (so you can catch the last bus). Price for the train ride is 8,80 euro (single trip).
  • Upon arrival Alkmaar at platform 2, walk outside to the busses at platform J. The bus to Schoorldam (Warmenhuizen) only goes 1 time per hour! 18:50/19:50/20:50 and the last bus departs at 23:50. Did you miss the bus? The price of a cap is about 25 euro.
